Top 3 Summer Fragrances

It's currently Summer, and in the UK we are in the midst of an extended heatwave (who'd have thought?!) I thought it was time to let you know what my top three Summer fragrances are!

My first favourite is Jimmy Choo Blossom. I'm a big fan of Jimmy Choo fragrances, my first love being the Jimmy Choo Original fragrance, since then, I've got quite the collection of Jimmy Choo perfumes! When Blossom was first released in the Summer of 2015, I received a sample of this fragrance, and fell in love with it straight away, it's perfect for a goregous summer's day, and as soon as I get a waft of this scent I immediately think of blues skies and the warmth of the sun. This is a gorgeous floral scent which is so light, fresh and fruity, and I have received many compliments whilst wearing it!

Fragrance Notes:
Sweet Pea, Rose
Berries, Citrus, Cocktails
White Musk, Sandalwood

Next is the most recent addition to my perfume collection, Marks and Spencer's Autograph Sheer Radiance. I received a bottle of this fragrance in the M&S Summer Beauty Box recently, and it's another floral, but citrus-y scent perfect for Summer! This is such an elegant fragrance, and I find it to be so subtle when I'm wearing it, but it's also strong enough to last me well during the day.

Fragrance Notes:
Mandarin, Gardenia and Pink Pepper

Lastly in my top three Summer fragrances is Lancome La Vie Est Belle. I first discovered this in a beauty advent calendar at the end of 2016, and then bought the full version last Summer. This is a very seductive scented perfume, and shouts confidence. You can wear this during the day, but for me, this is more of a Summer evening scent. The scent lasts really well after spraying it on myself, and I've even noticed whilst in the bath/shower, that the scent is enhanced!

Fragrance Notes:
Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Iris
Blackcurrant and Pear
Patchouli, Vanilla and Praline

July Beauty Wishlist

Well, it's another month so that means it's time for yet another beauty wishlist from me! I can't wait to share with you all of the beauty products which have caught my eye recently!

The first product on my wishlist is the NYX Professional Makeup Full Coverage Cream Concealer Jar. This looks amazing for a full coverage cover up, which is something which I've been looking for in a concealer for a long time!

Next is the Foreo Play Plus. I've seen lots of people raving about this product recently, it seems like a very popular purchase! I love the fact that these come in lots of different colours, but mainly, I love the fact that they help to give a really deep cleanse to your skin.

I've also been very impressed with the look of the Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream. An aid for anti-ageing, this product also helps to colour correct under the eyes, so if you're lacking in sleep and are suffering with some dark circles, this product will definitely come in handy to hide that!

Next up is the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray. This product is absolutely raved about! I suffer with my makeup slipping and sliding all over the place, and it never really holds very well during the day - especially during the summer! But, this setting spray is said to hold your makeup in place pretty well during the day, so I definitely want to try this out and put it to the test!

A product which has recently been launched has made its way onto my wishlist, and that's the L'Oreal Les Chocolats Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Dose Of Cocoa'. What I love about this range, is the fact that the shades are nude toned, but the lipstick is chocolate scented! What more could I want from a lipstick!

The Percy and Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Overnight Recovery is another product that I have included on my wishlist for this month. I actually have a sample of this product at the moment and have used it once, but I absolutely loved using it, and it made my hair feel so much more hydrated after I washed out this the next day. This is a product that I want to incorporate permanently into my haircare regime.

Speaking of haircare, I've really been focussing on hydrating my hair lately. This heat which we've been experiencing in the UK has totally fried my hair! Last year, my hairdresser recommended me to use the KMS Moist Repair after washing, and it really makes a difference to the overall finish of my hair! I've only just finished the bottle I have of this, so I'll be repurchasing this!

Lastly, I've included my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation and Concealer. I'd been using these religiously, until the end of last year, when I decided to try MAC's foundation and concealer, and I have to say that I much prefer Estee Lauder to MAC! I just couldn't get on with the foundation or the concealer from MAC, so I'm going back to Estee Lauder!

Product Empties #3 2018

I'm back again with yet another product empties post! I've been gradually collecting my used up beauty products for a while now, and I'm ready to share them all with you, and let you know what I thought of them!

The first empty I have is the Benefit Gimme Brow. This has been reformulated recently, and is now known as Gimme Brow +. I adore this product on my brows - it sets them in place really nicely, and is just generally fab! It doesn't feel icky on my brows like some brow gel/mascaras do, in fact, I barely notice it when I put it on! I'm intrigued to try the newer version of this product, I hope it hasn't changed too much!

Would I Re-purchase? Yes!

Next, is the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter. This is an absolute staple for me, and I've already spoken many times about my love for this product on my blog, but I really do love it. It's the only moisturiser that really sinks into my skin, and hydrates it fully. I suffer with quite dry skin, and it works miracles on it!

Would I Re-purchase? Absolutely!

I've also recently used up the Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All bubble bath. I loved this! I love a good bubble bath at the best of times, but I especially love the fact that it is scented with Soap & Glory's famous Original Pink fragrance. It left me smelling amazing after getting out of the bath!

Would I Re-purchase? Yes!

Next, is a product which was launched at the beginning of the year - the L'Oreal Dream Lengths Shampoo. When this product was released at the beginning of the year, I heard lots and lots of good feedback about how great this range was. I'm quite precious about my hair, and I always want to ensure that it's in good condition, and it seemed as though this was a product that could deliver that. One of the claims is that it detangles your hair, I was a little sceptical at first, but it really does! I was amazed at how easily my brush was gliding through my hair after washing it! I absolutely highly recommend this shampoo, and the whole Dream Lengths range to anyone who hasn't tried it yet - it's brilliant.

Would I Re-purchase? Yes!

My next empty is the Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Cream. This was a product that I was desperate to try for ages, but was constantly put off by the humongous price tag. I bought a skincare gift set by Charlotte Tilbury which featured this product in it, so I finally had my chance to try it! I really liked it! It made my skin feel so smooth and soft, and was the perfect base for putting makeup on in the morning. It's very thick, so a little bit goes a long way, and I certainly wouldn't use this at night-time as it would just be too heavy on my skin overnight.

Would I Re-purchase? I would, but, it's just so expensive!

I've also finished up using the Kerastase Nutritive Masquintese. As I said earlier in this post, I'm quite precious about my hair, and I want to make sure that I'm keeping it in good condition, and looking after it well. I heard lots of good things about the Kerastase brand, so I thought I would give their products a try. I absolutely loved this hair mask! It made my hair feel so soft and healthy, and the product made my hair smell gorgeous too.

Would I Re-purchase? Yes!

Last but not least, is an absolute favourite of mine; the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish! I don't know what more I can say about this product that hasn't been said before, but it is just incredible! It's so gentle on my skin, and I love using it to clean my face, and use it to remove my makeup. The scent of this product is absolutely gorgeous - it's an absolute dream to use!

Would I Re-purchase? Yes!

Happy 5th Birthday Birchbox!

June 2018 marks the fifth birthday of subscription box service, Birchbox in the UK. Birchbox are celebrating in style, and, each subscriber has received SIX products, in a beautiful floral designed tin.

The first product is the Ella Eden Compact Eyeshadow in the shade 'Julia'. This is a neutral coloured eyeshadow, which will be perfect for a subtle eye look, or, as a highlighter for the brow bone. If you use a wet brush the eyeshadow looks much bolder on the eyes.

The next product I received this month is the ARROW BOOST Colour Enhancing Lip Balm in the shade 'Berry Busy'. This is a lip balm which enhances the natural colour of your lips and adjusts to its pH levels. I've actually received one of these lip balms in a previous Birchbox I received last year, however, it was a different shade. It's amazing what effect it has on the lips! It's also worth pointing out that this product is vegan, paraben- , cruelty-, and gluten-free!

Another product that I received in my June Birchbox is the Number 4 Jour d'automne Smoothing Balm. This is a balm which reduces frizz -perfect for those hot, sticky days where hair gets unruly with the humid air! This product also restores softness, and protects against heat damage.

The Lord & Berry Strobing Highlighter Pencil also featured in my box. I've never used a highlighter pencil before, and my initial concern was if it was going to feel scratchy on my face, but I'll give it a go, and see how I get on!

The last beauty product I received was the GLAMGLOW SUPERCLEANSE. I've tried the GLAMGLOW masks before, and they've worked wonders on my skin, so I'm looking forward to trying their cleanser, and seeing what effect that has on my skin. This cleanser has a blend of three charcoals, and is a cream-to-foam cleanser.

Last but not least, Birchbox have included an extra little treat in celebration of their fifth birthday. There are three Whittard of Chelsea tea bags in the flavours; Earl Grey, Mango & Bergamot, and Lemon & Ginger. I'm looking forward to putting the kettle on, putting my feet up, and enjoying these sometime!

Happy Birthday Birchbox!

M&S have recently unveiled their exclusive summer beauty box, available for a limited time only, worth £135, which is full of some amazing products - perfect for pampering yourself with over the coming summer months.

So far, there has been plenty of excitement over the box and I can see why! If you spend over £40 on clothing, beauty & homeware either in-store or online, you can pick up this box for £15! Considering that the beauty box contains products from brands such as Origins, Percy & Reed and Nuxe - I think that it's absolutely incredible value, and well worth taking advantage of the offer.

I recently spent over £40 in M&S, mainly because there were things that I needed to pick up from there, but kind of because I really wanted this box! There's so many great products in the box that I'm so excited to try, and so many new products for me to discover!

The full list of products included in the M&S Summer Beauty Box 2018;

June Beauty Wishlist!

Well here we are, in June already! It feels like we're flying through this year. Summer is well and truly here, so it's time to make the most of the warm weather (hopefully!). As is tradition on the first Tuesday of the month, I have a new monthly beauty wishlist!

The first product on my wishlist is a MAC Lip Pencil in the shade 'Stripped Down'. You all know by now if you've been reading my blog for a while that I love my nude toned colours, and this MAC Lip Pencil is a perfect shade! Apparently this lip pencil looks great with the MAC 'Honeylove' lipstick.

The MAC Lip Glass in the shade 'Oyster Girl' is another MAC product to make its way onto my wishlist in June. I don't normally wear lip glosses, however, the shade of this is absolutely gorgeous. What normally puts me off a lip gloss is the stickiness, but I've been reliably informed that the MAC Lip Glass is not a sticky texture at all, so it's a winner for me!

Like I said at the beginning, summer has arrived, so it's a time of year where I don't want to be caking on too much makeup and feeling like my skin can't breathe. I've been looking into using a tinted moisturiser, as a replacement for wearing foundation in the warmer months, and the one which I've read great things about is the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser.

I suffer a lot with dry skin, and a lot of body moisturisers don't really do a lot for me. I've recently been made aware of the Aveeno Dermexa Emollient Cream. It's great on dry itchy skin, which I suffer with, but it's also good for any eczema sufferers too.

Recently, I was watching one of Lisa Eldridge's videos on YouTube, and in one of her makeup looks she created, she used the Huda Beauty Farah Lashes - they looked incredible! As soon as I saw those lashes I knew I had to put them on my wishlist straight away.

Next is the Sudocrem Skin Care Cream. I actually wrote a review for this back in January, but I'm now nearly finished my tube of it, and will need to repurchase at some point. I can't sing this product's praises enough! It makes such a difference in any skin problems/irritations you may have, and dramatically reduces them.

The Emma Hardie Moringa Renewal Treatment Mask also features in June's Wishlist. I've heard so many great things about the Emma Hardie products, but I'm yet to try any of them! This is definitely one of the first ones from the brand that I want to try!

Now onto nails, and I've included the CND Vinylux Weekly Polish in the shade 'Skin Tease'. This is another product which I have heard lots of good things about. I'm particularly impressed by it's staying power - it's supposed to last on your nails for at least seven days, which is amazing!

Lastly, is the MoroccanOil Glimmer Shine Spray. This is a finishing spray for the hair, which is said to encourage shiny hair. I've been dreaming of shiny hair for a while, and am making necessary improvements to the way I look after my hair in order to achieve that. The scent of MoroccanOil is so nice too!

My Top 5 From Soap & Glory

You may remember back in April, I wrote a post in which I listed my top 5 products from Benefit. I really enjoyed writing it, and I hope you all enjoyed reading it just as much! I wanted to write the same style of post for another one of my other favourite beauty brands; Soap & Glory. So, here we have my top 5 Soap & Glory products!

My first favourite is the Hand Food hand cream. I am, and have been for a long time, obsessed with this! It just smells gorgeous for starters, and it always leaves my hands feeling super hydrated and smooth. For me, having a hand cream near me is an essential at all times, and I love the fact that it comes in two different sizes - one which is a mini version so that it's convenient to pop in my bag and take with me on the go, and a bigger version which I can have on my bedside table.

Next in my top 5 is the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in the shade 'Nudist'. Now unfortunately, as far as I am aware, the 'Nudist' shade is no longer in stock. I'm not sure if that's temporary or permanent, but if it is indeed permanent that it's not coming back into stock, then it's such a big shame! I love the texture and the shade of this gloss stick, it's not sticky like a lip gloss, but it gives a nice natural coloured sheen to my lips.

Now, I do love the Original Pink fragrance of Soap & Glory's - however, I love the Smoothie Star fragrance just as much, and is featured in the Rich & Foamous body wash. It's such a comforting scent, and the scent of the body wash stays on me for quite while after I have used the body wash which is amazing! Another good thing about this body wash is that it's quite moisturising on the skin too, and leaves my skin feeling so smooth after I've used this.

Speaking of my skin feeling so good, I love the Righteous Butter. It's scented with the Original Pink fragrance, so it smells fab - but it also is quite a thick consistency moisturiser, therefore it really hydrates my skin, and makes it feel so soft and smooth.

Lastly, is Heel Genius. This is a foot cream which smells like peppermint, and is very refreshing on my skin, but also makes them feel so smooth after I apply the cream. I think this has to be one of my favourite foot creams that I have ever used!

Shopping My Stash!

I've seen a lot of 'Shopping My Stash' posts around lately, and they've really intrigued me. The idea is that you go through your beauty collection, and 'shop' for products that you may have forgotten about, rather than buying new products. I have to say, I went through my stash and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the products that I found which had been forgotten.

Starting with lips, I found a MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick. I bought this at the beginning of last year when there was such a hype surrounding it. I remember liking it, but I think I felt that the shade was a little darker on my lips than I had expected. However, I'm all for giving a second chance, and maybe I might grow to love it eventually!

Next is another hyped about product, the Benefit BADGal Bang! I used it consistently for about a month when it first came out at the beginning of this year, but then went back to my trusty Roller Lash mascara after I had reviewed it. I liked the BADGal Bang! Mascara - definitely more than I expected to after reading some reviews, but it didn't blow me away either, certainly not enough to take me away from Roller Lash.

Another Benefit product I found was the 'Dew The Hoola' liquid bronzer. I got a sample of this from somewhere - I can't remember where! But I did struggle with this when I first got it, I'd never used a liquid bronzer before, so I had no idea how much to use and I found blending it in quite tricky. However, I'm going to give this another go, and try blending it in with a beauty blender and see how that goes!

I  found a Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser hiding in my drawer, made me very happy finding it! I used a mini sample of this at the start of the year, and I really liked it. The scent is so refreshing, and it feels so lightweight on my face - plus, I'm running out of moisturiser!

Lastly, I found my bottle of the MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Spray. I went through a phase of using this last year, but then put it away and forgot about it. I've fallen in love with it all over again - so much so, that I've nearly run out and need to repurchase soon!

May 2018 Birchbox Unboxing!

Recently, May's Birchbox landed on my doorstep. This month is themed around the imminent arrival of Summer, and some of the products featured reflect this. I have to admit I'm feeling a bit 'meh' about this box, which I'm really gutted by, because I normally get so excited with what I receive - but I'll explain more as I write about each product in detail.

The first product is the Doucce Luscious Lip Stain in the shade Amber Rose. When I received the box, I put this on straight away, and I was impressed with how long it lasted! I can't say I'm overly keen on the shade however, but I'm hoping that it may grow on me. The only downside I feel with this product, is that it is very drying on the lips, so much so that I had to take it off after wearing it for a while.

Next is the Greenfrog Botanic Geranium & Peppermint Botanical Bodywash. This is a organic, cruelty free and vegan product which allegedly is great for people with sensitive skin, especially if you have eczema or psoriasis. I really like the scent of this body wash, it's very fresh!

I also received the Native Unearthed Activated Charcoal Natural Deodorant Balm. I have to admit that I'm really not sure on this product. It's a natural deodorant, so you rub a small amount of the balm onto clean underarms. I don't tend to like using balms under my arms, just because I find that my pores get clogged up and bumpy afterwards. I might give it a go though anyway though!

The Marcelle New Age Precision 8-in-1 Power Serum features in this months box for me too. I don't really use serums, but I'm looking forward to giving it a go, and seeing what it does for me!

Lastly, I received the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner. I'm a lover of a liquid eyeliner, so I was quite happy to see this in my box!

Like I said, I wasn't massively blown away by this month's box. There's a couple of things that I'm quite happy with, i.e. the eyeliner, and bodywash, but the rest is just a bit 'meh' to me. Hopefully next month will be a little better!

My Top 3 Favourite Nude Lipsticks

I never used to be a lipstick wearer, mainly because I always felt that bold colours would emphasise my lip shape - which is something that I have always felt conscious of. But then I decided to give nude coloured lipsticks a go, and found they suit me much better! I also love that nude shades go well with any type of makeup look.

So, in honour of my favourite shade of lipstick, I decided to (somehow) pick out three of my favourite nude lipsticks, and share those with you.

My first favourite is L'Oreal Lip Paint Matte in the shade 'Dead Lips'. This is a liquid lipstick, which prior to buying, I had never tried a liquid lipstick before. I was a bit worried when I first started using it that it would be drying on my lips due to it being a matte consistency, however - it's not drying at all! I love the shade of this lipstick - it's a browny-pink shade, which suits my skin tone to a tee.

Another favourite of mine is the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in the shade 'Nudist'. Now sadly, Soap & Glory have confirmed that the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks are being discontinued! So at the time of this post going out, these are currently on sale in Boots with 50% off. I can't see that the Nudist shade is available on the Boots website, but they do have other shades which are currently available. I'm going to have to savour this while it lasts! Anyway, what I love about the Gloss Stick is that it gives a nice glaze to my lips, but isn't heavy, or sticky like a lip gloss.

Lastly, I love MAC's Creamsheen Lipstick in the shade 'Creme D'Nude'. This shade is quite a pale nude shade on it's own, but I've discovered that teamed with the MAC lip liner in the shade 'Whirl' it looks incredible! Because this is a creamsheen lipstick, this isn't drying on my lips at all, and feels nice and silky.

So that's my top 3 favourtite nude lipsticks! I really hope you enjoyed this type of post - I have more like this planned for the future!

May Beauty Wishlist

Hello, and welcome to May's Beauty Wishlist! I can't believe it's May; where is the time going?! You might be able to distinguish a theme for my beauty wishlist this month - sun! We had a little taste of summer in April, and hopefully that's not the last of it for this year. This month is very much about prepping for the summer!

The first product on my list is the Isle Of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops in Medium. I've heard so many good things about Isle Of Paradise products and these drops in particular. I'm desperate trying to get rid of my pale skin ready for the summer, so I think I'll give these a go and see how tanned I can get!

Talking about prepping for summer, although this is something I'd use all year round, I've included the Panasonic Facial Steamer EH-XS01 in my wishlist. I've been wanting a facial steamer for a long time, but I've never seen one which I've wanted. This will be perfect for ensuring that my skin is in tip top condition!

Being safe in the sun is a must, I really need to start wearing an SPF every day to make sure that my face is protected against harmful rays. My SPF of choice is the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Face Mist. I love the sound of this one because it's a mist, so hopefully it shouldn't be heavy on my skin.

Something I don't normally think about when I'm in the sun is protecting my hair. I've found the Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil, which looks amazing - this will keep my hair healthy whilst enjoying the sun.

Now, I know a lot of people don't like feet, however, getting your feet ready for the summer is just as important too. I've seen a lot of people using foot masks recently and say how good they are, so I definitely want to give one a go! I like the look of the Starskin Exfoliating Double-Layer Foot-Mask Socks.

I have a real problem with smudging the nail polish when I paint my nails, however, there is a product that can help with that! Apparently the Jessica Quick Dry Drops sets the polish in place so there's no risk of smudging your nails.

Back to tanning, and something that I hadn't thought of was my face. It seems a bit strange to tan your body, and not your face? I would never use the tan that I use on my body on my face, so the St Tropez Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist looks a good option!

I'm nearly running out of the OGX Argan Oil that I've been using, but I've heard lots of good reviews for the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Hair Oil, and it's a product that I've been wanting to try for a while now actually, so I think I may have to pick myself up some when my OGX finally runs out.

Last but not least, is the Origins GinZing Treatment Lotion Mist. I love the scent of the GinZing range, but the treatment lotion isn't a product that I've seen before. I was very intrigued by it, so it just had to feature on my wishlist!

My Top 5 From Benefit

I've said it so many times, Benefit Cosmetics are by far one of my favourite makeup brands - there's so many of their products which I love. Trying to whittle my favourites down to 5 was actually very difficult! I think I've got a list which covers different areas of the face, so without further ado, sit back, grab some refreshments and enjoy!

The first Benefit product that I love is the Roller Lash mascara. I remember my excitement over this mascara when it was first released over three years ago. I fell in love with it instantly, and ever since, Roller Lash has remained a constant in my makeup routine. I just love the effect it has on my lashes, the formula's brilliant, and it's such as easy mascara to use. It's easy to get off, and it doesn't smudge. All round, it's just the perfect mascara in my opinion!

Another favourite of mine is the Goofproof eye brow pencil. I first discovered this product when a sample of this was in with a copy of Elle magazine nearly a couple of years ago now. This is another Benefit product that I fell in love with straight away. I love how easy it is to make my brows look 'on fleek' with Goofproof. Even though I use this product to fill my brows in, they still look natural which is amazing!

Last November, I received a sample of the Hoola bronzer in my Birchbox. At first I wasn't keen, however that was my fault, as I was originally picking up too much product on my brush - which made me look ever so slightly too orange! I have since realised the error of my ways, and now only use a tiny amount, and I love the colour, and contour that it gives me! I'll definitely be picking up a full size of this when the sample I have runs out.

There's only one primer that I have remained faithful to since I began wearing makeup many years ago, and that's Porefessional. This honestly makes my makeup stick to my face so well throughout the whole day - better than anything else that I've ever tried. I also love that there are now lots of variations of the Porefessional primer. I gave the Porefessional Pearl primer a go when it was first released a few months ago, and absolutely loved the glow it gave me.

Lastly in my top 5, is the Watts Up highlighter. This is such an easy highlighter to use. All I do is sweep this on the top of my cheek bones, and I have such a nice glow - a lovely champagne colour! You really don't need to use too much of this either, a little bit definitely goes a long way! It's really handy having a little sponge on the end of the applicator, although I don't really use it.

I really hope you enjoyed discovering what my top 5 favourite Benefit products are! Let me know which ones are your favourites - I'd love to know!
