November Product Empties

I've never managed to write an empties post before - even though I've always wanted to. The problem being that I always automatically throw any products straight into the bin without thinking of saving them for an empties post!

I have however, managed this time round to save a few empty products to share with you. I'm going to do a star rating of each product out of 5, give you my opinions on them and let you know if I'd buy them again - so without any further ado let's get started!

My first empty is the Lee Stafford Heat Protection Shine Mist. I absolutely love the smell of Lee Stafford's products, and this Heat Protection really does give my hair a lovely shine to it after I have used it. This product is a regular staple in my hair care routine, I always buy it again and again.

Rating: ★★★★

Next is the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator. This worked amazingly on my skin and left it feeling lovely and smooth, I especially loved the scent of this product too.

Rating: ★★★★

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is another of my empties, this is the second of these that I have got through and I just absolutely love it! It's amazing at getting every last scrap of makeup off my face and my eyes. I haven't found anything else that's been as effective as this product!

Rating: ★★★★★

I've got another empty exfoliant! The Clinique Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser was one that I got as part of a free gift, and I really enjoyed using it! It's probably the gentle exfoliant I've ever used. The texture is very jelly-ish like but it does get to work and remove any dead skin cells really effectively!

Rating: ★★★★

I'm so sad to have run out of the L'Oreal So Couture Mascara. This is honestly hands down the best mascara I have ever used - and I'm not just saying that! It really gives my lashes volume that I can usually only dream of. I will definitely be re-purchasing this again!

Rating: ★★★★★

Hand Cream is something of a necessity for me at the moment, especially as it's now started to get much colder. In the Summer, I received the Cowshed Cowpat Hand Cream in one of my Birchboxes, and I have recently just finished using it all up. I have to admit, I wasn't overly impressed with it, it wasn't hydrating or moisturising enough for me unfortunately.

November Beauty Wishlist

Welcome to November's Beauty Wishlist! As ever, I'm going to be going through the products which have caught my eye this month!

Going straight into it, the first product is the Nars Creamy Concealer. I've always heard lots and lots of good things about this concealer and I am looking to purchase a new concealer so this may well be the one I go for!

Staying with makeup, I also really want to try the MAC Face and Body Foundation. Again this is another product I have heard good things about, and I've also heard that it's got good coverage too, which is something that I always look for in a foundation.

I'm looking to completely change up my makeup products as you can probably tell so far, and another recommendation which has crept into my Wishlist for this month is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I've been looking for a powder which isn't cakey and looks natural on the skin and this is the one to go for so I've been told.

The last makeup item in my Wishlist is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Chasing The Sun Champagne Illuminating Powder. I've only ever used a creamy highlighter before and not powder so I'd like to give a powder highlighter a go and see how I get on with it. This highlighter looks amazing too and is such a pretty colour from what I've seen!

Next up, I can't write a beauty Wishlist and not include Lush, so this month I'm loving the look of the Rocket Science Bath Bomb. It looks so fun and colourful!

Also from Lush, I really want to give the Sleepy Hand and Body Lotion a go. I've seen lots of brilliant reviews on this and it's supposed to really relax you ready for bed. Another of Lush's products which is good for nighttime are the Twilight products, on my Wishlist this month I've included the Twilight Body Spray. I can imagine this will be brilliant to spray on after a bath and putting my pyjamas on!

Last year I loved the Gingerbread scented hand cream from Zoella's Beauty Christmas range. This year she has another hand cream  - Winter Wonder Hand on sale from her Christmas range and I want to try it and see if it's as good as last years one! Also I really want to try the Snow'ella Body Mist as this apparently smells good!

Birchbox X Vogue Unboxing November 2017

This month's Birchbox is in collaboration with Vogue - so exciting! As such, the products which have been chosen for the boxes this month are taken from the Vogue 100 Beauty Hall of Fame. Not only do you receive 5 beauty products, there is also a complimentary voucher for 6 free issues of Vogue magazine, not bad at all!

The first product is one that everybody has received in their Birchboxes this month and is also the one which I'm most excited about - Benefit Hoola. I've wanted this product for so long, and I don't know why I haven't gone out and bought it yet but I'm so so excited to give it a go. It's a raved about product and almost everyone loves it so I'm looking forward to finding out why that is!

The next product in my box is the Percy and Reed No Oil Oil. I've used this product before and I really loved what it did for my hair, not to mention how much I love the scent of Percy and Reed's products.

I also received the James Read Overnight Tan Sleep Mask Tan Face. Now I'll admit, this is the one product I've received in my box that I'm not 100% feeling. I'm not a massive 'tan' person and the thought of using a tan product on my face scares me slightly in case I end up looking like a Oompa Loompa! I personally would have preferred to have received the Clarins Hand Cream instead but, beggars can't be choosers.

The Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is another product in my Birchbox this month. I actually haven't heard of this product before, but it looks pretty good. The fact that it's a fast drying is an absolute winner, haven't got time to be waiting around for nail polish/top coats to dry!

Last but not least is a Birchbox exclusive, and is a Birchbox own branded Brush Cleaner. I can't stress how important it is to clean your brushes after you've used them, and having a brush cleaner makes doing a laborious job that bit more easier, trust me!

I also want to give the actual box itself a little mention too. Half way through last month I received an email from Birchbox asking me to pick from two Vogue themed box designs and I picked the pink design - I absolutely love it! I feel like this is one box I don't want to get rid of and keep as a momento!

November Beauty Favourites

There's so many products which I've been loving at the moment, and I just had to share them with you!

The first product in my November favourites is the Origins 'Never A Dull Moment' Facial Polish. I had been looking to try a new exfoliant for my face but just didn't know what product to try out. Through looking at the Boots websites and numerous reviews, I came to choose the Origins one. I'm a fan of Origins skincare as it is, and 'Never A Dull Moment' has become a film favourite for me! I love the fruity smell of it and I just love the colour of the packaging too!

I've also been loving the OGX Brazilian Keratin Smooth Shampoo. This shampoo smells amazing because it contains Cocoa Butter, and thanks to the avocado and coconut oil and keratin proteins it's made my hair feel super smooth and soft.

During my evening skincare routine lately, I've been using the LancĂ´me Absolue Premium Bx moisturiser. I received this in the Boots Beauty Advent Calendar last year, and I can honestly say that this is one of the best moisturiser's I've ever used! It's quite pricey, however the quality is brilliant and I've noticed a difference in my skin since using it.

I've included the YSL Black Opium perfume in my November favourites, however it's been a year long favourite for me. The scent of this is just so refreshing and I have received so many compliments from people when I wear it, I've also found that it's one of the most long wearing fragrances too.

I suffer with extremely dry skin on my lower legs which can cause them to become very itchy. To combat this, I've been using the Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Oil on my legs as soon as I step out of the bath or shower. It's honestly worked miracles on me, my legs are nowhere near as itchy as they were and feel so much more softer and moisturised.

Whilst on the topic of dry skin, I've also been using the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter. This body lotion not only makes you smell great, but it's also super moisturising and really nourishes my skin. It's been a favourite of mine for a while but I've recently fallen in love with it all over again.

For Christmas last year, I received the Sugar Plum Lip Scrub in a Lush gift set. I've recently started using it and I cannot believe I hadn't used a lip scrub before! It makes my lips feel super soft and smooth and is especially great if you wear lipstick and you don't want the lipstick getting stuck in any dry skin on your lips.

Last but not least in my November favourites is the L'Oreal Volume Couture Mascara. This is the only mascara I've ever used which gives my lashes the volume and length I desire! I'm so so obsessed with this and the bets bit is that it doesn't break the bank!

Let me know what your favourite beauty items are at the moment?
