Lush Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar Review

I cannot believe we are on the final countdown to Halloween now; it's only less than a week to go until the most spooktacular event of the year arrives. To celebrate, I am posting a review very fitting to the occasion.

You may remember earlier on in the month I wrote a post all about what I had purchased from this year’s Lush Halloween collection (if you haven't seen it- click here!). In this post I'm going to be reviewing one of the products I purchased which is the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar.

This is a product which I think some people may be deterred by due to the vast amount of glitter which covers this cute little pumpkin. If like me, the glitter doesn't bother you you'll love this, if you absolutely cannot stand glitter then this product probably isn't for you. That aside, this is probably one of the most adorable looking bubble bars that Lush have released in recent years and there's been lots of them.

Sparkly Pumpkin has such a lovely smell, it's very sweet and fragranced which is something I love. It contains lots of essential oils such as Juniperberry (good for hair), Lime, and Grapefruit which makes for such an indulgent bath making you feel good for it afterwards.

I crumbled a small little piece from the bar to put in my bath and it left me with an adequate amount of bubbles, you can put a bigger or smaller piece in dependent on how many bubbles you want. Underneath the bubbles, I found that the water slightly changed colour to a light orange colour.

Like a lot of Lush bubble bars and bath bombs, I found that this product made my skin feel soft afterwards which is such a lovely feeling especially if you have been in bath water for some time and it dehydrates your skin. The only downside like I say if you don't like glitter is that you may have some glitter residue on your skin after you get out of the bath. I personally had some on my hands after, which doesn't bother me at all but it is a point worth noting if you are considering purchasing this product.

I absolutely love this bubble bar however, and luckily I think I should have enough for a few more baths. It will only set you back a mere £3.95 for each sparkly pumpkin which you will be able to get a few baths out of so it is well worth the price!

Let me know if you've tried this bubble bar or any of the other products from the Lush Halloween range!

Zoella Hungry Hands Review

When Zoella announced her Christmas beauty range in August, I absolutely fell in love. The reason for that? The range is largely themed around Gingerbread. So when I had the first opportunity, I took myself off into Superdrug, and picked up not one but two of the Hungry Hands hand creams, one for my bag and one for around the house.

First impressions of the packaging which the hand cream comes in is that is it perfect for this time of the year and indeed for Christmas, it's so rustic and really festive. I love that the box that the hand cream comes in is designed as simplistic as a package waiting to be unwrapped like a present.

The actual bottle that the hand cream is in has such nice colours on it, it's like a rose-gold and berry coloured bottle with a candy cane frame and a little gingerbread man underneath a description of the product on the front. To open the bottle, there is a screw cap at the bottom of the bottle.

The scent of the hand cream as previously mentioned is gingerbread, and with extracts of ginger, vanilla, and shea butter it almost certainly does smell like this. I also think that the smell really reminds me of the festivities of Christmas and has a warming winter smell that is so distinctive to the product.

I'm impressed that after the application of the hand cream it sinks into my skin really well and doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy which is something that I totally dislike in a hand cream.

I have to admit this is the first product I have bought from not only the Zoella Christmas range but from her Beauty line in general and I'm impressed. I love the Gingerbread scent and theme, and the rustic packaging with the candy cane details, I think its spot on! If you're looking for a stocking filler for Christmas this will fit the bill and can be purchased for £5.

Let me know if you've tried this hand cream, and what your thoughts are!

Lush Halloween Haul 2016

It's the time of year where Lush release their highly anticipated Halloween and Christmas ranges. In this post, I'm going to go through what products I have purchased from the Halloween range and what my initial thoughts are.

Firstly I picked up the Monsters Ball bath bomb, this bath bomb looks like a little monster- perfect for Halloween! The ingredients in this bath bomb include lime and neroli oils and it smells very citrusy.

I also picked up Lord Of Misrule bath bomb too; this is a deep green looking bath bomb which has lots of essential oils, so this sounds to make bath time very relaxing!

The next bath bomb I picked up was Pumpkin. This is just the cutest miniature pumpkin you'll see! It contains Vanilla and Cinnamon and just sounds so comforting for the cold and dark nights ahead.

Speaking of pumpkins, I couldn't resist the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar. This looks so amazing, and will provide such indulgent baths especially as this contains essential oils.

The last product I purchased from the Halloween range was the Boo bath oil. Bath oils aren't something I use often, however this little boo character is one of the sweetest things I've seen. This bath oils contains mimosa, ginger, cocoa butter, sandalwood and Sicilian mandarin oil which all combines to makes your bath relaxing while really looking after and softening your skin.

I'm really excited to try out all of these Lush goodies, let me know if you've tried the Lush Halloween range and what your thoughts are!

October Beauty Wish List

It's time to go through what's on my wishlist for this month!

There's a lot of bath related products in my wish list this month, a definite sign Autumn/Winter is creeping in! Firstly, I'm loving Lush's new Halloween range- my favourite's are the Monsters Ball and Pumpkin bath bomb, Boo bath melt and Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar.

I also adore the sound of Zoella's new Christmas range, especially as it smells of Gingerbread! Hungry Hands and the Gingerbread Bath Fizz Gift Set are on my list to purchase.

The sample of Benefit Goof Proof that I had has unfortunately come to an end, so I will be looking to pick up the full size version of this very soon!

Estée Lauder Double Wear Light has caught my eye, and anything that I can put on my face that is lightweight is a winner for my oily skin.

I've been looking to increase my lipstick collection, and as I’m mainly a nude lipstick fan, MAC Spirit Lipstick is perfect.
