Benefit 'Watts Up' Review

A few months ago I decided to take the plunge and purchase a beauty item I had never used let alone owned before.

Highlighter wasn't a beauty area I had ever encountered before, mainly because I was so nervous of going overboard whilst using it and ending up looking 'greasy'. However, I decided to bite the bullet and give highlighter a chance in my makeup routine.

The next dilemma came from deciding WHICH brands highlighter I should choose. I had heard lots of good things about Benefit's Watts Up, so that's what I went with.

I have to admit; now I've been using highlighter for the last few months I can't get enough! Watts Up is a fabulous product and applies onto the skin really well.

The texture of Watts Up is a really creamy formula and comes as a stick applicator which makes using the product super easy. At the other end of the applicator is a small sponge to help you blend the highlighter into your skin, although I personally blend it in with my fingers.

The shade is really lovely too- it's a glowy champagne colour which really perks your skin up and gives you a healthy natural glow.

I absolutely adore this highlighter and it's now become a staple in my makeup routine, I just wish I'd fallen in love with it sooner!

Let me know if you use Watts Up and what your thoughts are?

September Beauty Wish List

It's time to go through what's on my wishlist for this month!

There's a bit of autumn creeping into my wishlist which I think both the MAC 'Stone' Lipstick and the Lush 'Twilight' Bath Bomb and Lush 'Butterball' Bath Bomb reflect slightly!

I'm also looking at some new Real Techniques tools, in particular the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and Bold Metals Collection by Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour and Bold Metals Collection by Real Techniques 100 Arched Powder brushes. I really want to incorporate using a sponge into my makeup routine, and the Bold Metals brushes look beautiful!

Finally, I've been wanting to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear because I've heard extremely good things about it, and it has been recommended to me by a few people. I also really want to try Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum- this apparently smells amazing, and I love my perfumes!

Products I'm Currently Loving

Coconut Oil is something I've been using in my hair as a mask for the last few weeks and it's already made such a big difference to the health of my hair. It's emphasised the colour of my hair, and made it stronger and shinier. I've also been using coconut oil as part of my makeup brush cleaning routine.

I recently wrote a blog post about  Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette on my blog. I absolutely love it! It's made cleaning my brushes so much easier and less hassle. With this, I now actually want to clean my brushes rather than put it off!

I really love Benefit Watts Up! too. I've only recently got into using a highlighter when applying my makeup, but I've found this product to make things so easy. I love the glow it gives my face.

Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil is a relatively new product as part of Benefit's new brow range. I've had the pencil for a while now, but I've only just started to really get into using it. I adore how it makes my brows look so full, it completely the way my eyebrows frame my face in a good way without looking overdone.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and finding out which products I currently love at the moment. Let me know if any of these are your favourites, or if there are any others you'd love to share!
