Yankee Candle 'Pain Au Raisin' Review

Today I am going to be writing about the 'Pain Au Raisin' candle by Yankee Candle. I love my candles, especially Yankee Candles, and seeing as I got a pack of their votive candles for Christmas, I thought it might be a good idea to blog about them and give my opinion on them.

The Pain Au Raisin candle is the first votive I have tried out from my pack, and on the front of the packaging it has a picture of a pastry, which is exactly what it smells like. I really like this candle, purely for the reason it's not overpowering in terms of smell, you just get a nice subtle smell of pastry and raisin which is lovely.

In the past, the Yankee Candles I have owned have always been the big jars, but actually, I think the votives are quite a nice idea to try out lots of different fragrances and discover what scents you like and don't like.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the Pain Au Raisin fragrance, and would definitely consider buying the bigger jar in the future!

My Weekend Diary- Tuesday 15th December

On Friday my cousin arrived to stay the weekend, I can't honestly say I did an awful lot in the evening, apart from just chilling out, eating dinner and watching Gogglebox and Alan Carr Chatty
Man. Before bed, me and my cousin took turns to paint each other nails, and then I just felt so tired I just needed my bed! Crazy Friday night I know........

In the Evening, my family and I took a trip to watch some Ice Hockey. We left the Ice Rink to torrential, and I mean TORRENTIAL rain! In the space of literally a minute or two I was soaked through. Everyone looked and felt like a drowned rat. I was very pleased to get home, feel comfy, tuck into some cheese on toast and just chill while watching The X Factor final.

I had the most wonderful lie-in which was very much needed, I then came downstairs to a Bacon Sandwich and a cup of tea. I just spent most of the morning relaxing, before I decided it was time to make myself look and feel a bit ore presentable for the day. I did a couple of housey things like hoovering and changing my bed sheets, and then my boyfriend came over for a second lazy Sunday in a row which really just consisted of cooking, eating and watching TV. On Sunday evening was The X Factor final, I haven't really been into it much this year, but Louisa did impress me and deserved the win.

Monday was my birthday! and I have to admit I was thoroughly spoiled with the presents I received. Although it was my birthday I spent the day buying a Christmas Tree, and decorating and just generally making the house feel more Christmassy. I had lots of visitors to help me celebrate my special day and just made it feel wonderful!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Hi Everyone!

I thought I'd do something a bit different, and write more of a personal post to let you in on what I have been getting up to this weekend, which in all honesty hasn't been much!

On Friday evening I decided to do some online shopping. This mainly consisted of Amazon, Lush, and Boots shopping, and I managed to be quite productive! I still have quite a bit more shopping to do to be totally prepared for Christmas, but it’s always nice to get a bit more done and get closer to being completed!

Saturday was a totally lazy day for me. I did nothing, and I mean nothing. It’s nice to not have plans sometimes and just give yourself the time to just chill out. I did quite mundane things around the house, like washing etc., but really not a lot else apart from catching up on I’m A Celeb and watching YouTube videos! I also happened to be looking at photos from a wedding that myself and my boyfriend went to a few weeks back and found a really lovely picture of us both that I really want to frame and put somewhere.

Then that brings me to today, Sunday. Again I can’t really say I’ve done a lot apart from spending quality time with my boyfriend. Our Sundays together generally consist of snuggling up on a giant beanbag watching TV and cooking food together. It’s currently Sunday evening and I’ve not long received an Amazon parcel with my new Christmas Cookie Yankee Candle, and a Christmas present I’ve bought for my Boyfriend. I’m now off to join in on the #bbloggers chat!

Until next weekend,
