Benefit They're Real Tinted Primer (Elle Magazine Sample) Review

In December's edition of Elle's magazine there was a free little gift within the issue, which was a sample of Benefit's latest release; They're Real Tinted Primer. This new product is the latest member of the ever growing family in the They're Real range, which started as a Mascara and has since branched out into Gel Liner and Eye Makeup remover.

I occasionally buy Elle magazine, but I love the fact they sometimes feature Benefit products, especially when there are new releases.

This new Tinted Primer promises to lengthen, separate, and boost your lashes whether that may be under your usual Mascara to enhance your eyes, or on it's own for a subtle eye look.

So, a couple of weeks ago, I picked up a copy of Elle, mainly so I could try out this new product to see what this Primer could do for my eyes. The first time I tried it was the day after I bought the magazine, and I was excited to see what it looked like on.

The Primer is a Mink Brown colour so it really is a natural colour which stays true to my natural hair colour, and doesn't make my eyes look like they have been heavily made up which is perfect for a daytime look. The Primer works just like a Mascara, you have your wand to apply the product and at the end of the wand are separators which you can use to separate your lashes individually. As I have mentioned previously, you can either leave the Primer as it is, or wear it underneath a Mascara, I decided during that day just to leave the Primer as it was. I think this is particularly a good idea if you want to go for a no Makeup look but want to just have a little bit of Makeup on.

I also tried this Primer under my Mascara, which really does enhance my Mascara and makes my lashes look a lot thicker and separated, a lot like actually wearing false lashes which is what I guess this product aims to achieve.

I'm unsure whether or not I would buy this product. It wouldn't be a necessity for me in my Makeup routine and would only be a product I use occasionally, so this sample size is perfect for me.

If you are interested in owning this Primer, I would suggest either picking up a copy of Elle Magazine before the beginning of December, or waiting until the release date of the 26th December when the full sized versions of the primer hit the shelves in stores for £18.50.

Topshop Lipstick- Brighton Rock

Today I have a lipstick post for all you lovely people. I needed to get a new lipstick for a wedding I was going to, I'm not much of a Lipstick connoisseur and very rarely wear it but as it was a special occasion I decided to purchase some. I feel I have very limited knowledge of Lipstick also, so I was overwhelmed with all of the choices that were in front of me, however I have read that Topshop Lipstick's are of a very good quality, and even better they don't break the bank at £8 each.

My next dilemma was colour, I knew I wanted a pink shade but I didn't want anything outrageous and I also didn't want anything too tame. Having looked through lots of colour swatches, I came across the colour 'Brighton Rock'.

On the Topshop website the colour of the Lipstick looks red, but from other people's photos it came out as a bright pink. I decided to pick this colour as I felt that this was going to look quite colourful, thankfully it's not ridiculously bright pink, and it looks really nice.

When applying the Lipstick, I have found I really don't need to apply too much, I only really dab on a light layer and that's enough to give me the amount of coverage I want. I would suggest putting some Lip Balm on before applying this if you are prone to getting dry lips because I found the lipstick to feel drying, and if you get dry lips anyway like me, the Lipstick may emphasise this.

Overall, I am really happy with this Lipstick. It's the first Topshop cosmetic I have bought, and it's made a big impression on me, I would definitely buy another Topshop Lipstick, especially as they are so reasonably priced. The quality is brilliant, and I absolutely adore the rustic packaging.

I'd love to know what you think of Topshop Lipstick's, let me know below!

Empties:- November 2015

I can't believe in the two years of writing this blog, I've never done an empties post! The thing is with me though; once I've used a product up I tend to just chuck it in the bin as soon as I've finished with it.

However, with this post in mind, I decided to hold a few products back in the last month since I have finished with them so I can give you my opinion on them now they have been used up.

Below are the products that I have used up as of November 2015:

Soap and Glory: - Whipped Clean

I purchased this back in May during a Boots shopping spree, and this was the first time I have ever used this product. I was drawn to it as it is described as containing Cocoa and Shea butter, which are smells that I love. Having used this product for the last five or six months, I do like the shower gel, it feels very nourishing and makes your skin smell nice, however, I wouldn't say it's my favourite S&G product I have ever used. This is only because I think there are other S&G shower gels that I prefer more than this one, so the likelihood of me buying this again is fairly slim.

Soap and Glory: - Rich & Foamous

Following on from the above, this is another S&G product I brought back in May to try for the first time. Again, I was tempted to buy this as I had heard lots of good things about it from others, and the fact that it smells very sweet and biscuit like, which I absolutely loved about this shower gel, it smells so good! I will definitely be buying this again!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Hand Cream

I'm a big hand cream junkie, I always have to have some with me as my hands are so prone to chapping, particularly in the winter months, so when I saw this in Sainsbury's discounted, I decided to pick some up as I have heard only good things about this. I love the Cocoa scent as if this post hasn't made it obvious enough so far! This hand cream is so nourishing, and the great thing is, you only really need a pea sized amount of it to work into your hands. It's also reasonably priced in my opinion at £1.99, and I have already picked some more up as I loved it so much!

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser: - Cocoa Radiant

Keeping on the Cocoa butter theme (I'm not obsessed, I promise!) this is a product I actually got into thanks to my boyfriend who loves this product. Moisturising is something I get bored by and don't really enjoy doing if I'm being completely honest with you, but this product definitely takes the strain away from the task. It's so easy to just spray the product on, rub it in and then just get dressed. It dries so quickly which is great and is a huge selling point of this moisturiser. I'm planning on buying this again.

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo

I have always loved this shampoo, I would never be able to describe to smell of the shampoo, but all I do know is that it makes my hair smell so good, and feel softer than it ever can be if I use a different shampoo. This is a staple in my hair care routine, and is something I have always and will always come back to.

And that's it for my November edition of empties; I hope you all enjoyed reading my first ever offering. I'll be back with more empties in December!
