Burt's Bees Almond and Milk Hand Cream

Burt's Bees are not a brand that I have ever purchased from until now, but they have always intrigued me with their range of skincare. Whilst in Boots last week, and after looking at the 3 for 2 on the Indulgent Bathing range, I decided to pick up the Almond and Milk Hand Cream.

I must admit, the first time I smelled the product I was taken aback by it as the smell wasn't quite what I expecting. However, it has grown on me and it now reminds me of a Cherry Bakewell tart! Essentially this product comes in a fairly small jar so I wouldn't necessarily say that you get value for money being priced at £9.99. The product is a thick consistency cream which is designed to target hard wearing hands. Picking this up I thought would work wonders on my hands as they tend to get quite dry and in extreme cases, can chap. I have noticed that my hands are more supple after using this product, the only downside being that after applying the cream it makes my hands feel greasy which is slightly offputting but has not completely deterred me from using this.

Overall, I am pleased with this product, it has helped with my dry hands, and even though the jar does not have a lot of product in, it is not a product I use all the time so hopefully it should last me a while.

Boots Haul!

Today, I have a Boots Haul for you!

Obviously, when there's 3 for 2 on Indulgent Bath and Body products, how can you say no?

Below is a run down of what I purchased:
  •  Soap and Glory-Hand Food
This hand cream is amazing! I know I am probably a bit late to the party with this one but up until now the only time I had ever used this was when I received a Soap and Glory gift set at Christmas and it contained a mini version of Hand Food which hooked me on this beautiful product. As with other Soap and Glory products it smells wonderful which is one of the main attractions of buying this. Unlike other hand creams, it's not at all greasy, and makes your hands feel so moisturised and soft!

  • Soap and Glory-Clean On Me

Oh yes! Yet another Soap and Glory product. This time it's Clean On Me which is a shower gel from Soap and Glory's Bath and Shower range. Again, as with Hand Food, the only time I have used Clean On Me was when I received the mini version of it in a gift set at Christmas, but that was enough to whet my appetite and encourage me to purchase the full size product. Not to repeat myself too much, but the smell! It's lovely! What impresses me about this product is that it's a hybrid between a shower gel and a body lotion which is built into one, which is why your skin feels amazingly soft after using the shower gel.

  • Burt's Bees-Almond and Milk Hand Cream

This is a product that I have actually never used before, but after reading that it worked well on very dry hands I decided to give it as go as it was included in the 3 for 2. I have really dry hands and constantly need to use hand cream to get them to stay moisturised and I figured that this product would be good to use as a treatment once a week in addition to my Soap and Glory 'Hand Food'.

  • Garnier-Moisture Match (Goodbye Dry)

If you read my last blog post then you will know that this is a product I have previously tried after receiving a sample of this in a copy of 'Glamour' magazine. I was so impressed by this product that I decided to purchase the full size product while I was in Boots.

I also picked up a couple of makeup essentials that I was running low on in Boots which are the L'Oreal SuperLiner and the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know below what other blog posts you'd like to see!

Garnier Moisture Match

This week I picked up 'Glamour' magazine and whilst having a good read through, I came across a freebie (I love the excitement of finding them!) This month the freebie that turned up was the 'Garnier Moisture Match'.

'Garnier Moisture Match' are a range of five different moisturisers by Garnier designed with differing skin types in mind. Genius! The five different types of moisturiser all have varying textures and sensations dependent on what requirements your skin has and all work over a 24 hour period.
The choices are:

*Start Afresh-Light softening cream
*Protect and Glow-SPF20 illuminating light lotion
*Wake Me Up-Revitalising hydrating gel
*Shine Be Gone-Mattifying fresh cream
*Goodbye Dry-Hydrating rich cream

The sample I received in my magazine was the 'Goodbye Dry' moisturiser which is targeted at helping with dry to very dry skin. I was extremely pleased I received this as the one flaw with my skin is that it does get really dry, so this is perfect for me and my skin type. I was really impressed as the texture wasn't greasy at all which is a common trait I tend to find with most moisturisers, and it smells really good too! The smell actually reminds me of Garnier's Fructis Shampoo.......

......Anyway, overall I was pleasantly surprised with this moisturiser as it worked wonders on my dry skin to make it silky and smooth and it is already on my 'to buy' list, and with five different types of moisturiser  for a wide spectrum of skin types there is something for everybody. It's so refreshing that Garnier have acknowledged that not everyone's skin is the same!

Garnier Moisture Match is available at most high street drugstores, but as a heads-up, it's currently on offer at Superdrug for £2.98! (RRP £5.99)

Have you ever tried Garnier's Moisture Match? Let me know!
